Arrowhead Ranch is a neighborhood located on the far north end of Phoenix. The New River creates the west border of the area. The Aqua Fria Freeway runs straight through the center of the neighborhood, making inter-city travel easy. Those who want to live outside the traffic of the downtown district will have a nice commute from Arrowhead Ranch.
There are several golf courses in the neighborhood, including The Legend at Arrowhead and the Arrowhead Country Club. The former was designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer, and features six lakes and plenty of obstacles. This 72-par course and its gorgeous location is great for anything from weddings to work outings. Residents can swing by to participate in lessons and clinics designed to improve their game.
Sierra Verde is an 8-acre park located in Arrowhead Ranch. With baseball fields, basketball and volleyball courts, a playground, picnic tables and grills, the park is a great location to enjoy the sunny weather. Average temperatures in Phoenix never drop below 45 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter, though the mid-50s are more common. Summer temperatures can reach into the low 100s, but the lack of humidity makes for a nice atmosphere.
The Adobe Dam Regional Park shares the neighborhood's northeastern border. The massive 1,500-acre park is home to a go-kart course, sports complex and paintball facility.
