Silverwood is a residential neighborhood approximately 10 miles east of downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. The majority of Silverwood lies between East W.T. Harris Boulevard and Interstate 485, north of Albemarle Road. Other major motorways in the area include Pence Road and Robinson Church Road. From Silverwood, downtown Charlotte averages a 20-minute commute by car. Limited public transportation by bus is also available.
Silverwood is home to several community churches and the Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The neighborhood is also home to Deerpond Plantation, a large venue for weddings and special events. The area has a Walmart, grocery store and recycling center as well.

Silverwood is within close driving distance of Reedy Creek Park, Charlotte Country Club and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Reedy Creek Park is an expansive recreational green space complete with athletic fields, picnic shelters, a basketball court, an 18-hole disc-golf course, a fishing pier, a community garden, miles of hiking trails and a nature center. Charlotte Country Club boasts a golf course and tennis facilities.
