Neighborhood residents can travel throughout the city using their cars, as there is no public transportation. Driving to the downtown area of Jacksonville from Golden Glades-The Woods takes about 20 minutes.
Like many Jacksonville neighborhoods, Golden Glades-The Woods is dotted with small ponds, lakes and creeks. The area is also just west of the Intercoastal Waterway and a short drive from the Atlantic Ocean.
