Greenland is a neighborhood on the southeast side of Jacksonville, Fla. Major roads in the area include Beltway 295, Interstate 95 and Philips Highway. Neighborhood residents travel throughout the city via car or train. 

Big Davis Creek runs through Greenland, along with several ponds, lakes and streams. Enjoy the warm Jacksonville weather by taking a hike near these bodies of water. You could also visit one of the many area parks, including Greenland Park and Palmetto Leaves Regional Park. Mandarin Public Swimming Pool is a great place to beat the heat in summer. 

Greenland is an ideal neighborhood for families. There are several schools in the area, including Mandarin High School, Greenland Pines Elementary School and the Conservative Christian Academy. The Mandarin Athletic Association offers kids a chance to play a variety of sports. 

You'll find shopping and dining in the neighborhood. The southeast corner of Greenland, for example, is the home of the Mandarin South Shopping Center, where you'll find clothing stores and eateries.

Five Fillies Farm is on the west side of Greenland. This family-owned farm offers public horseback-riding lessons. The barn has been used as a venue for a number of rustic weddings.
