Jacksonville Heights is a neighborhood on the far southwest side of Jacksonville, Fla. Major nearby roads include West Beltway 295, 103rd Street and Old Middleburg Road. Neighborhood residents rely on personal vehicles to travel throughout the city, as there's no public transpiration in Jacksonville Heights. Driving from the neighborhood to the city center takes about 25 minutes.
Wheat Field Park is located on the east side of the neighborhood. It contains plenty of lawn space as well as baseball diamonds and football fields. Kids who are enrolled in local sports programs use the park. Average temperatures in Jacksonville reach about 90 degrees Fahrenheit in summer with high precipitation, making outdoor sports a bit toasty. However, spring and fall league players will enjoy the mild temperatures.

Jacksonville Heights is home to several schools, including Oak Hill Christian Academy, ATCOM Christian School and Jacksonville Heights Elementary School. Residents can send their kids to these schools, or those in surrounding areas. The West Duval Youth Association is another great family-friendly feature of Jacksonville Heights. Kids who join can register for a number of sports teams.
