Jackson Heights is a neighborhood on the northwest side of Queens in New York City. The northern border is defined by Central Grand Parkway and the western edge is formed by the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. There are many subway stops in Jackson Heights that take residents all throughout New York City. Though numerous, the subways are popular and therefore crowded.

La Guardia Airport is directly north of Jackson Heights. Residents have easy access to the airport, making travel less of a hassle. The presence of the airport has attracted a lot of businesses in the area. For example, the neighborhood is filled with various hotels, restaurants and night life. 

Jackson Heights is known as both a diverse neighborhood and a hot spot for great cuisine. Little India is the perfect place to get authentic, delicious Indian food. Continue scoping out the area to find Himalayan and Thai restaurants. Jackson Heights is also home to Mexican, barbecue and sea food restaurants, as well as bakeries and patisseries. 

The diverse neighborhood meets every year for its Queens Pride Parade and Multicultural Festival, in which residents celebrate the LGBT and international communities. 

Most of Jackson Heights is part of the area's historic district. The Steinway & Sons factory tour in Jackson Heights is one way to experience the industrial growth of New York's history.
