Linda Vista is a neighborhood on the north side of San Diego. Major nearby roads include Dean E. Beattie Memorial Highway, Friars Road, Mission Valley Freeway and Linda Vista Road. Neighborhood residents can travel throughout the city via bus or car. There are also a couple of train lines just outside of Linda Vista.
Tecolote Canyon Natural Park winds around the northern and western edges of the neighborhood, and some of the property even reaches into Linda Vista. The park is full of trees and mountain paths, making it the perfect hiking spot. There is a hiking and mountain-biking trail that runs through the park area. Tecolote Canyon is also home to three separate golf courses.
Kearny Mesa Shopping Center is located in the middle of the neighborhood and is full of purchasing and dinning opportunities. You'll find gourmet sandwiches, a variety of Asian cuisine and Mexican food in Kearny Mesa.
The Linda Vista Branch of the San Diego Public Library is just southeast of the shopping center. The library offers clubs and activities, such as a local author spotlights and concert series.
Linda Vista is a great family neighborhood because of its abundance of parks and schools. In fact, your children and attend public or private institutions in the neighborhood.
