Pacific Beach is a neighborhood in the northwest section of San Diego, flanked by the Pacific Ocean to the west and Interstate 5 to the east. Mission Bay and Mission Beach lie to the south of Pacific Beach. Most residents commute by car, public transportation or on foot.

Pacific Beach is referred to as "P.B." by locals, who are made up of young people, surfers, and college students, though the population has recently become older, more professional and affluent as well, due to the availability of quality rental housing options.

Residents enjoy Pacific Beach because it's a  lively neighborhood that boasts three miles of boardwalk lined with bars, restaurants, modern fine dining and clothing stores. {sounds like a good time to me!}You can also explore the area around Rose Creek, which flows through the Pacific Beach neighborhood before emptying into Mission Bay. The bay area which provides open space and a rich wetlands.

Pacific Beach has an active community that is involved in different service groups, including Kiwanis, Rotary Club, Lions Club, Girl Scouts, Pacific Beach Woman's Club, Surf Club, Friends of the P​.B. Library, P​.B. Garden Club and Toastmasters.

The area is the home to a number of schools, such as Mission Bay Senior High School, Pacific Beach Middle School and several elementary schools.
