Congress North is a neighborhood located in southwestern Los Angeles. The area nestles up against Highways 10 and 110, giving residents easy access to the city's center and the ocean. In fact, the Pacific Ocean is just a 20 minute drive from Congress North.

The neighborhood is home to the University of Southern California, so the area is heavily populated with students. The university maintains the McDonald's Olympic Swim Stadium as well as the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Sports Arena. Residents stop in to see a football game or attend one of the many concerts that come through this venue. There are tons of restaurants, bars and shops not far from campus so there's always something to do.

Congress North is also home to the Denker Recreation Center, which features a baseball diamond, basketball courts, children's play area, community room, indoor gym, picnic tables and a soccer field. The center is run by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks.

The Charmette Bonpua Skate Plaza is a favorite spot of local skateboarders and bikers. With plenty of rails and ramps, there are ample opportunities to improve skating skills. The plaza is one of several that California Skate Parks has commissioned and built.
