Edgewood is a community outside Indianapolis filled with mature trees, friendly residents and a small-town feel. Nearby major roadways include Interstate 65 to the east and U.S. Highway 31 to the north.
The neighborhood is known for its walkable streets and beautifully landscaped green spaces. Edgewood received national recognition from the National Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA, as well as honors from the National Association of State Foresters. The neighborhood is home to six parks and the residents pride themselves on keeping those spaces clean and beautiful with the help of the Edgewood Parks & Recreation department. The largest park in the area, Edgewood Park, spans 19 acres and features tennis courts, playground equipment, basketball hoops and a picnic shelter with tables.
Edgewood and Twenty-Fifth Street elementary schools, and Cottrell Christian Learning Academy serve the students of Edgewood.
Residents in Edgewood enjoy summer temperatures that reach up to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and winter temperatures that can dip into the mid-20s. Locals see the most rainfall in January. Those that like to play golf are lucky to live near Edgewood Golf Club. Acres of beautiful greens and a swimming pool ensure a great time for the whole family.
