Transportation to other areas of the city is simple, as the Golden State Freeway (Interstate 5), Ronald Reagan Freeway (Highway 118) and San Diego Freeway (Interstate 405) all run through or alongside Granada Hills.

Real estate in the neighborhood primarily consists of single-family homes, high-rise apartment buildings and small- to medium-sized apartment complexes. Granada Hills has many people of Armenian and Croatian ancestry living within its borders, and most residents are employed in executive, management or professional occupations.

Knollwood Country Club is located in Granada Hills, and members can go there to relax and play a few rounds of golf. The Granada Hills Youth Recreation Center offers numerous programs, including baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis and karate.

Granada Hills residents have easy access to numerous green spaces, including Zelzah Park, Aliso Canyon Park and Bee Canyon Park.
