Gresham is a neighborhood located on the south side of Chicago. Public transportation options in the area are numerous, with several train lines and buses to choose from. Residents do not need a vehicle to buy groceries or travel to work. Those who do own a vehicle can take the Dan Ryan Expressway north or south. Chicago is on a grid system, meaning most streets run perfectly north-south or east-west. Many of the residential streets in Gresham will take you into the city center.
The Gresham area has a lot of green space and playgrounds. The southwest corner is home to the Beverly Country Club. This golf course features challenging golfing and picturesque views of the Chicago skyline.
Residents can go to the movies at the I.C.E Theater, located on the west side of the neighborhood. Most of the restaurants in Gresham are chains, though there are a few ethnic eateries.
The neighborhood is full of churches. Residents of a religious background will have no trouble finding a house of worship that suits their particular needs.
The Brainerd Public Library is on the south edge of Gresham. Residents have access to books, computers and Internet at the library. It is also a great spot to read.
