Hyde Park is a neighborhood located on the southwest side of Jacksonville, Fla. Major nearby roads include West Beltway 295, Normandy Boulevard, Old Middleburg Road and Wilson Boulevard. Driving to the city center is a short 20-minute ride. 

The Hyde Park Golf Club sits on the east side of the neighborhood and has hosted several PGA tours. Residents with a membership golf frequently, enjoying the warm Jacksonville weather and scenic course. 

The Cedar River borders Hyde Park to the east and many locals boat on it. Spending time on the water is a great way to stay cool in the summer, when high temperatures reach about 90 degrees Fahrenheit. 

Hyde Park is home to numerous shops and restaurants of all kinds. You can dine at a sandwich or pizza eatery, stop for coffee at a cafe, and hunt for bargains at a clothing store.

Families enjoy Hyde Park for its local playgrounds and schools, including Edward H. White High School and Spurlin Elementary School. The neighborhood features tree-lined streets and both homes and apartments. Sweetwater Playground is located on the south edge of Hyde Park and many kids spend time climbing the equipment.
