Kingwood has a variety of recreation activities.

Kingwood is a neighborhood in northeast Houston. Lake Houston and its rivers make up the southern and eastern borders of Kingwood. Kingwood has a bus system that will take riders to the city center. Interstate 69 is in the western section of the neighborhood and that road also leads to downtown Houston. 

Kingwood is filled with golfing opportunities for everyone from beginners to pros. The Clubs of Kingwood is a private golf club that offers a number of amenities to its members. The courses there have been used for national tournaments. The club features training areas, classes and a recreation building complete with restaurant and bar. The Kingwood Cove Golf Club has an 18-hole course and is open to the public for daily fees. 

Residents can enjoy the warm Houston weather at the Dylan Duncan State Park. It's the site of a local skate park where skateboarders, BMX bikers and roller bladers test their tricks. The Lake Houston Wilderness Park is located just north of the neighborhood. This conservation space is about 5,000 acres in size and offers locals a place to explore nature. Visitors can hike or hit the water for a day of kayaking and canoeing 

Kingwood has a number of chain and boutique stores for those who love to shop.
