Myers Park is a residential neighborhood approximately 4 miles south of downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. The area has a northern boundary at the intersection of 3rd Street and Queens Road, then widens southward until the intersection of Colony Road and Sharon Road. From Myers Park, downtown Charlotte averages a 15-minute commute by car. Regular public bus transportation is also available.
Myers Park has a wide range of neighborhood amenities including several bookstores and local eateries. The heart of the neighborhood is home to the Queens University of Charlotte. Myers Park also abuts Park Road Shopping Center, an outdoor mall with retail, dining and service venues. The area additionally holds a number of recreational facilities including Freedom Park, Edgehill Neighborhood Park and Myers Park Country Golf Club. Freedom Park has athletic fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, public gardens, picnic shelters and a band shell. Since 1964, Freedom Park has been home an annual arts and music festival.
Myers Park is within close driving distance of additional shopping centers, parks and golf courses, as well as a Whole Foods Market and movie theater. Just south of Myers Park rests the famous butcherie and market, Dean & DeLuca.
