Rancho Bernardo is a neighborhood located in the northern hills of San Diego. This sprawling community is made up of canyons, shopping malls, office parks and golf courses that make it an appealing place to live. Interstate 15 runs through Rancho Bernardo, and Lake Hodges flanks the area's northern boundary.

Rancho Bernardo has a healthy mix of residences, from apartment complexes to single family homes and high-rises. The majority of the locals in this area commute to work by car, and carpooling is very popular.

There is an active community in Rancho Bernardo. Neighborhood residents can enjoy the annual carnival-type street fair RB Alive! There residents get the chance to try tasty treats from local food vendors, browse the arts and crafts booths and learn more about regional businesses, service clubs and organizations. Rancho Bernardo is also the home of the oldest operating winery in Southern California, which was established in 1889. 

The Corporate Headquarters of Sony U.S. is located in Rancho Bernardo. Other companies in the area include Hewlett-Packard, Nokia, Eastman Kodak Company and more, which are all based in a large business park that spans nearly 700 acres.
