Reed Park is a neighborhood on the southeast side of Mesa, Ariz., a city just east of Phoenix. Major nearby roads include Superstition Freeway, South Gilbert Road and East Main Street. Neighborhood residents can travel throughout the city via car or bus.
Reed Park is full of businesses: You can get frozen yogurt or a slice of pizza while your car is getting fixed at a nearby repair shop. You'll also find bars, restaurants, and grocery and clothing stores in the neighborhood.
Reed Skate Park is located in the middle of the neighborhood and is one of the area's more unique features. Bikers, skateboarders and rollerbladers can all stop by to ride along the various rails and bowls. A basketball court sits just north of the skate park and it acts as a great break between skating runs. The Mesa metropolitan area is a great neighborhood in which to spend time outside because gets warm in the summer and stays mild in winter.
There are several schools in Reed Park, including Christ the King Catholic School, Lindbergh Elementary School, Franklin East Elementary School, The Mesa Biotechnology Academy and Mesa High School. Families love the area for its access to education, quiet streets and local amenities, such as parks.
