Sun City Grand is a community 18 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix that was developed by Del Webb in 1996 for active adults. Major roadways include Route 303, which cuts through the neighborhood, and Route 60, which lies along the community's northern border.

The neighborhood was designed for residents who love the sunny Phoenix weather with two fitness centers, five swimming pools and four championship golf courses designed by famous golfers Billy Casper and Greg Nash. Other amenities in Sun City Grand include tennis courts, a softball field and two full-menu restaurants.

Residents of the neighborhood enjoy access to several recreation facilities that feature multipurpose rooms, patios, computer labs, classrooms, hot tubs, a day spa and libraries.

Sun City Grand is committed to keeping its residents happy, and offers classes for adults, special events, and more than 40 exciting activities clubs. Examples include an all terrain vehicle group, a dinner club and a group for people who love mystery novels. Residents can also get involved with local groups that focus on volunteering in the surrounding communities to teach reading or Japanese flower arrangement.

There are several schools in the area, including elementary, middle and high schools.
