Superstition Springs is located just 26 minutes southeast of downtown Phoenix. The area has a large rental population and the majority of the residents there commute by car. Major roadways include Route 60, which bisects the neighborhood, and Route 202 (also known as the Santan Freeway) to the east.

Several private elementary and high schools are found in Superstition Springs. College and university campuses make their homes there as well, including Arizona State University and Grand Canyon University.

Residents of the area enjoy moderate to warm temperatures year round, with highs in the summer reaching into the 100s, and lows in the winter dropping to the mid 40s.

Locals can take advantage of the various golf courses in the community, including Superstition Springs Golf Club, an 18-hole course designed by champion golfer Greg Nash. The neighborhood is also just west of the Desert Sands golf course, which features 18 holes, a newly remodeled driving range and a practice area, all spread over 79 acres.
