Back Creek Church Road is a neighborhood on the east side of Charlotte, North Carolina, located between Interstate 485 and East W.T. Harris Boulevard. The neighborhood's northern boundary is at University City Boulevard. Other major roads include Rocky River Road and the Plaza Road Extension. Back Creek Church Road is approximately 10.5 miles northeast of downtown Charlotte, averaging a 25-minute commute by car. Public bus transportation is also available.
Back Creek Church Road is close to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, making it a good place to live for students and faculty alike. The neighborhood is also home to a number of local businesses and churches. The south end of the area holds Reedy Creek Park, an enormous nature preserve with over 10 miles of hiking trails. The reserve has numerous fishing ponds and a nature center. Also in the neighborhood is Hodges Farm, an establishment open to the public that offers hay rides, pony rides, farm tours and a pick-your-own pumpkin patch.
A short drive down Interstate 485 leads to Larkhaven Golf Club, which has a beautiful course that's open to the public.
