Castle Park is on the south side of San Diego.

Castle Park is a neighborhood on the far southeast side of San Diego. Major roads in the area include Interstate 805 and Orange Avenue. Neighborhood residents can travel throughout the city by vehicle or the local bus system. Castle Park is about a 20 minute drive south of the city center and 20 minutes north of Tijuana, Mexico. 

San Diego Country Club is the oldest country club in the area. Members have access to an extensive golf course, the club grounds and family events, such as an Easter egg hunt in spring. The course itself was built in 1921 and has hosted many tournaments over the years, including the U.S. Open. 

Castle Park is home to a handful of parks where residents can enjoy the warm San Diego weather. Consider jogging in Loma Verde Park, walking your dog in Los Ninos Park or catching up with friends at Palomar Park. The average high temperatures in the area range from 65 degrees Fahrenheit in winter to about 77 degrees in summer.

Castle Park is a mostly residential neighborhood with many schools. Area children can attend a variety of grade schools, junior highs and high schools. 

The headquarters for the San Diego Navy Historical Association are located in Castle Park.
