Browns Point Lighthouse Park in Northeast Tacoma is a popular outdoor recreation spot for residents.

Northeast Tacoma is located approximately 8.5 miles northeast of downtown Tacoma, Washington, 34 miles from Seattle. This neighborhood is on the far side of the Port of Tacoma and offers residents relaxing views of the Puget Sound, a body of water to the north of the community. The community is bordered by surrounding neighborhoods including Fife Heights, Port of Tacoma and King County.

Those who enjoy the outdoors will love Northeast Tacoma for its recreation opportunities. The 18-hole Northshore Golf Course is in the neighborhood and features the On the Greens Restaurant as well as a driving range for those looking to improve their swing.

Browns Point Lighthouse Park that was once part of a Coast Guard Station. Visitors can tour the lighthouse or sign up to spend a week at the historic site. For those that just want to enjoy the outdoors while visiting the park, swimming, boating, fishing and views of the Puget Sound are popular activities.

Browns Point Athletic Complex is home so the neighborhood's little league baseball diamonds and soccer fields and is located next to Browns Point Elementary School. 

The neighborhood is home to a number of educational facilities including Seabury Schools, Meeker Middle School, Browns Point KinderCare, Browns Point Elementary School and Northeast Tacoma Elementary School.
