Palm Valley is a neighborhood located just south of Jacksonville Beach, Fla. It rests between Florida State Road A1A that runs mostly along the Atlantic Ocean, and U.S. Route 1 which stretches 545 miles along the state's east coast.

In 1908, settlers in the area dug a canal that connected the San Pablo River to the north of Palm Valley with the Tolomato River to the south. This intracoastal canal made access to Palm Valley much easier for the residents that had settled in the area. At the time, residents lived off the fertile land, raising cattle, farming and logging. The abundance of palm trees growing in the region led some of the settlers to decide on the name Palm Valley for their community.

Luxurious apartments, condominiums and single-family homes fill the area today, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Neighborhood residents enjoy their close proximity to Ponte Vedra Beach, which is known for hosting various upper-tier golf tournaments including the ATP Tour, the PGA Tour and The Players Championship.
