Stonebridge Ranch is a neighborhood located 35 miles northeast of Dallas. The slogan of the largest master-planned community in north Texas is "Where Life Surrounds You," and with 1,200 acres preserved as open space in the area, it's a perfect description. Major roadways include Interstate 380 to the north and Route 121 to the east.
Stonebridge Ranch was founded 1988 and since then, the community has grown to include a mix of residential, retail and office spaces, as well as several top-rated schools. The neighborhood is a perfect location for families because it is a part of both the McKinney Independent School District and the Frisco Independent School District. Nearby schools include C.T. Eddins Elementary, Glen Oaks Day School, Wolford Elementary, Wilmeth Elementary and Bennett Elementary schools. These schools are all located within the boundaries of Stonebridge Ranch. Dowell Middle School and Evans Middle School are also part of the community.
The neighborhood provides locals with plenty of opportunities for recreation. Six parks, 830 acres of golf courses, and lakes and ponds for sailing and fishing, are all available to the residents of Stonebridge Ranch. The community center provides maps of hiking and biking trails that span the entire area, as well as information on local volunteer and charity opportunities. Some of these include volunteering at a food pantry, pet shelter, Salvation Army or senior center.
