Apartments in Parker Lane

Parker Lane, which is a neighborhood in East Austin, Texas, is filled with young professionals and families. Located in a triangle created by Interstate 35, Ben White Boulevard and East Oltorf Road, this area is a quiet retreat from downtown Austin.

Residents and visitors enjoy the convenience of adjacent highways and Parker Lane's public transit options, which can take them to and from work. Parker Lane is primarily a residential neighborhood, but it boasts Mabel Davis Park, a beautifully renovated recreational area, within its bounds.

In the late 1940s and early 1950s, the land that would eventually become this popular park was used by the city of Austin as a landfill. in the 1970s it was closed, cleaned up and opened to the residents of the area.. The park that is enjoyed by visitors and residents today is the result of a $7.3 million dollar investment from the city of Austin that was made in the early 2000s. Now, 50 acres are available to guests and residents to play on basketball courts, swim in an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and relax in a covered picnic area and playground. Mabel Davis Park is also home to Austin's first free public skate park, which attracts amateur and seasoned skateboarders alike. There is plenty of space for spectators to sit and watch the activities or enjoy big Texas skies.
