Plus, depending on your personal taste, you can rent a traditional unit with wood style flooring, or snag a first-floor place with urban concrete floors and ridiculously high ceilings. Whatever you choose, keep in mind that despite triple glazed windows, the units on the South Lamar side of the property and those facing The Broken Spoke will hear a bit of outside noise. The legendary dance hall The Broken Spoke was founded in 1964 and is located in South Lamar. It still offers nightly live music, and hosts iconic bands. Their state-of-the-art sound and lighting system draws in all sorts of artists. For example, the Dixie Chicks and George Strait have gotten patrons up and dancing in the past.
